Task Management

Every detail about a task — in one place, always up to date.

Kanban Boards

Visualize your workflow with drag-and-drop kanban columns. Create custom statuses that match your process — not a rigid preset. Set WIP (Work In Progress) limits per column to prevent bottlenecks. Collapse columns you don't need and expand the ones in focus. Task cards show assignee, due date, priority, and label at a glance.

List & Table Views

Switch from kanban to a flat list view for a linear overview of all tasks. Table view adds spreadsheet-style columns for every task field — sort by any column, group by assignee or label, and resize columns. Ideal for reviewing all open tasks across a project or doing bulk updates before a planning session.

Subtasks & Checklists

Break any task into subtasks that each have their own assignee, due date, and status. For smaller steps that don't need full task overhead, use checklists — lightweight to-do items inside the task. A completion bar shows progress through the checklist at a glance. Mark all items done and the parent task status updates automatically.

Custom Fields

Add your own fields to tasks: short text, long text, numbers, currency, dates, dropdowns (single or multi-select), checkboxes, URLs, and user references. Custom fields appear on kanban cards, in list view columns, and in task detail panels. Build the task model your workflow needs — not the generic default.

Priority & Due Dates

Four priority levels (urgent, high, normal, low) with visual color coding. Due dates with optional start dates for tasks that span multiple days. Overdue tasks are highlighted automatically. The task list can be sorted by due date to see what needs attention first — today's view shows only tasks due today or overdue.

Assignees & Watchers

Assign any task to one or multiple team members. Each assignee gets notified and sees the task on their personal task list. Watchers follow a task's activity without being assigned — useful for managers and stakeholders who need visibility but aren't doing the work. Unassigned tasks are shown in a dedicated queue.

Project Planning

Structure work above the task level — milestones, dependencies, and templates.

Milestones

Group related tasks under milestones to track progress toward major goals and release dates. Each milestone has a due date and shows a live completion percentage based on its tasks. Milestone view gives a high-level roadmap of the project — what's done, what's in progress, what's at risk.

Task Dependencies

Mark tasks as blocking or blocked-by other tasks. A task with unresolved blockers is visually flagged — the team knows it can't proceed until the dependency is resolved. Dependency chains are shown as a graph, making it easy to spot which tasks are on the critical path and where delays will cascade.

Labels & Color Coding

Create workspace-wide labels with custom names and colors for cross-cutting concerns: bug, feature, design, backend, urgent. Apply multiple labels per task. Filter the kanban board or list by any combination of labels. Labels appear as colored dots on task cards for instant visual scanning.

Project Templates

Save any project — its structure, columns, custom fields, and template tasks — as a reusable template. Start the next sprint, client onboarding, or product launch from a template instead of blank. Templates can include default assignees, labels, and checklist structures so repeated workflows start consistent every time.

Views & Visibility

See the right picture of your project — at the right level of detail.

Gantt / Timeline View

Switch to timeline view to see all tasks and milestones on a horizontal time axis. Drag the start and end bars to reschedule. Dependency arrows show which tasks must complete before others can start. The timeline view is the clearest way to communicate project schedule to stakeholders and clients.

My Tasks — Personal View

Every team member has a personal "My Tasks" view showing all tasks assigned to them across every project, sorted by due date. Filter by status to see only active tasks, or by project to focus on one area. My Tasks is the daily starting point for individuals — their personalized work queue.

Bulk Actions

Select multiple tasks with checkboxes and update them all at once — change status, reassign, add or remove labels, set due date, move to a different project. Sprint planning and cleanup that would take 20 individual clicks can be done in one bulk action. Useful for sprint closing and backlog grooming.

How teams use Projects & Tasks

Software Development

Sprints, bug tracking, feature requests, and release milestones. Custom fields for story points and ticket type. Dependencies between tasks that share code. Kanban with columns for Backlog → In Progress → Review → Done.

Marketing Campaigns

Campaign planning with a timeline view for launch dates, content calendar tasks, cross-team dependencies between design and copy, and milestone tracking per campaign phase. Labels for channel (email, social, paid).

Client Projects & Agencies

Separate projects per client, project templates for repeatable deliverables, milestone-based billing checkpoints, and guest access so clients can see progress without viewing internal discussions.
